The unit is used in a finished almost finished basement. So far it is working well. Only in use two weeks.

I spent a lot of time researching dehumidifiers for my damp basement and was very disappointed in the selection available in stores this time of year (Fall). Consumer Reports rated this 65-pint dehumidifer #1 in this category, and I heartily agree. It's so easy to use, set up, and empty. It might be a bit noisy to use in a living area, but it's perfect in our basement. Wish I'd gotten it sooner!

I use the dehumidifier in the basement. It keeps the humidity at the correct level. [...]...the only thing that is not great about this unit is that the water collection bucket is too small and needs to be emptied 2X daily.

This was worth our money. We bought it to replace one we've been using that's about 25 years old. After using our new dehumidifier for one day, our basement smelled so much better! The musty smell was gone! It's much quieter, too.

I've read many reviews on various dehumidifiers. Most had more cons than pros....except this one. Anddddd, so far so good. Only had this one for a couple of weeks(that's why only 4 stars) but I'm happy with it's performance. Especially pleased with the noise level...Very low...Even on the "high" setting.

I read tons of reviews on this product before deciding to purcahse it. I couldn't find a single negative review. I looked at over 20 online stores and found that here was the cheapest by far and actually instock.
We are new home owners and had a damp smell in the basement. After using it for 2 days the smell dissappeared and we have been having to empty it every 12 hours. It displays the current humidity which is 90% in our basement and when in operation its keeping it at 60%. The machine is quiet even on the highest level. I love the fact that it disperses the air upward instead of on the side like other machines and it can be placed near walls. Its extremely energy officiant and i would reccomend it again and again.

I am so happy that I bought this dehumidifier!!! It has made such a difference in the feel and smell of my basement. I can't even count how many times I have emptied it. Great product!!

I use the product in my basement to keep it dry and free from mold. This humidifier does a great job of reducing the humidity and gives a relatively accurate reading of the actual humidity (I think).

It removes the humidity so fast that one must definitely attach a hose to it so that it can drain the water away without having to empty the container that is built into the unit.
