Comments about Whirlpool Whirlpool Drier Home Energy Star Certified Dehumidifier:
Dehumidifier collects a good amount of water for the period of time it is run. Also is quieter, smaller, and lighter than our previous dehumidifier and seems to be just as effective.

Very easy transaction.
Comments about Whirlpool Whirlpool Drier Home Energy Star Certified Dehumidifier:
Our office is always damp. We collect about 2 quarts of water overnight and feel that this is doing the job. It is loud, however, so we only run it at night.

Comments about Whirlpool Whirlpool Drier Home Energy Star Certified Dehumidifier:
The unit was very well priced in comparison to many others I looked at.
I've found that the device is very effective and drying out the dampness in the garage, which has helped to mitigate mold issues.
The two problems I've noticed is that first, it is noisy. However, since I have it in the basement, that's kind of a moot point.
Second, when the temperature in the basement gets too low (probably below 50 or so), ice can form on the intake grill if set to maximum. I've been able to mitigate that problem by turning it down a little, and closing the windows in the basement.
Overall, a good purchase.
Comments about Whirlpool Whirlpool Drier Home Energy Star Certified Dehumidifier:
In the winter our house always gets super humid due to bad siding and a large fish tank. This product has keep our levels at a comfortable level. It has been pulling about a gallon a night of water.

Comments about Whirlpool Whirlpool Drier Home Energy Star Certified Dehumidifier:
I have two other small Whirlpool dehumidifiers but was willing to try one of the new energy efficient models, especially if they had a pump to empty the pan. However after reading the ratings of other products, it seems that most are VERY unreliable. For more details go to the [@] site and read the 20 - 24% satisfaction rate on their own site by purchasers of their own products. Very distressing. Since I have long experience with the small Whirlpool ones, I tried searching for a larger one with the features above and did not find anything so called them. They are no longer manufacturing dehumidifiers, a disservice to those who value reliability and performance. Rainbow had some of their new ones still in stock so with some hesitancy, I ordered one. I am very pleased that the model is nearly identical to my 6 year old and 10 year old ones and all of them all performing just as expected. All are a little noisy but not distressingly so and even though they say none should be used under 65 Degrees, you can make them work perfectly well by purchasing a $6 multiple setting timer and using it for 2 hours on and 2 hours or more off. Even if they ice up due to cold temperatures, they will melt in the off cycle and drain into the pan and down the drain with the attached hose. If the humidity drops sufficiently, they will just turn off as usual. [...]
