I did a lot of research before settling on this model and manufacturer. I also shopped around for the best price I could find. This grill is the best grill in this price range that I could find. I ordered from Rainbow Appliance who had the best price [...]. Rainbow's price was a saving of over $100. [...] The assembly was desribed by most as a chore and will take up to 6 hours. It took me 2 hours, but I have good tools and am pretty decent with mechanincal items. The savings made it worth ordering online versus picking one up at the local supplier. I'm using the grill now for the second time. I also ordered a rotissarie from [...] as their price was better [...]. Everyone complains about the price of the Webers but I found it to be the best price for a quality grill. So far I find it heats fast and even. It is easy to clean and maintain. I don't think I'll be shopping for another grill for a long time as this is put together to last and I went with the stainless steel version.

I love this grill sure it costed a arm and a leg but you get what you pay for I was sick of buying a $300 dollar grill every three years this will last you 20 plus years and it cooks ten times better don't be a cheap[*]

I've had a variety of Weber products in the past, both charcoal and gas grills. A few years ago I switched to another brand when we needed a new grill, never again. Nothing can compare to a Weber!

This is a great grill; and it is so fast that we have to have everything else ready before we start to grill. My husband got it together, and he is very mechanically minded, but it took him about three hours. He said the directions were not very clear, and could be difficult for someone else.

Grill a lot, year round. This model is special - wonderful even heat. Did 6 rib eye steaks and 16 hamburgers tonight all at once, and all were cooked to perfection. Adding just a couple of lines of explanation in one or two spots in the set up instructions would help quite a bit - the rest of the set up was easy to follow.

The degree of control this grill affords is insane - you can slow cook ribs with indirect heat at around 200, then crank it up to 675-700 for steaks that beat most nationally ranked steakhouses, whip up a wild mushroom in red wine topping on the side burner while the grill heats up, and everything in between!

This is a great grill. Sure it might cost a little more than others, but it's truly worth every penny. The stainless steel construction is tops! It should last many, many years to come.

It gets plenty hot too! For those of you that like your steaks "black and blue", be sure to thaw your steak to room temp--that's important. Preheat your grill for 10-20 mins, then toss it on! A quick turn a minute or two later, then you have a steak that's dead raw (yet warmed) in the middle, and charred on the outside. Delicious!

For those of you medium to well folks, just let it cook I suppose.

Another great thing is that it has a tank scale, which pretty accurately tells you how much fuel you have left--nice!

The only con is that it takes a little time and patience to assemble. I guess the instructions could be a little better, but it's really not too bad.

Are you concerned about price? Well, go ahead and buy a $100-$150 grill. Even if you take super care of it, you won't get too many seasons of serious grilling out of it. With this one, it's a buy-it-once proposition. I expect with care that this will be around 10 or even 15 years from now.

Finally, it's truly a Weber. It's not some rickety thing with a Weber name slapped on it. No, it's a true Weber and worth every penny.

I highly recommend it!

I did a significant amount of research to find an outdoor grill in this price point. Weber came out on top and so far, I am happy with the decision. The grill heats up quickly ( about 10 min) and is easy to clean. Most foods cook quickly. The individual heat settings allow me to adjust the temperature appropriately - great feature. AWESOME GRILL. I travel a lot, and every night I am home, I grill. Seriously. I have used this grill about 10 times so far, and NO PROBLEMS. She cooks evenly every time. And buy the Weber book. It will teach you how to grill CORRECTLY.

Even though this grill is touted "stainless steel", it is not 100%. The sides and back are painted aluminum. It's beautiful and sturdy in construction. It grills really well! Worth the price.

Expensive but so far worth it.

Excellent quality. A little confusing to assemble in that the screws and orientations are not well delineated on the instructions, and you definitely need a good ratchet set, but thus far an excellent addition to my deck (as long as I can keep my kids from putting finger prints on the stainless steele).

This grill was voted best by Consumer's Reports and I agree. It is all it claims to be and more. I am not a griller by history but I have to come to love it since owning this grill. It is so simple to light up and use and the outcome is excellent everytime - especially with a meat thermometer. The only complaint was the assembly which was pretty involved and the way the instructions were presented are not real clear. [...]I would highly recommend this grill.

Our old Weber Genesis lasted over 16 years. We bought a new one only because we would have had to replace the burner and really wanted a stainless one. You can always count on the heating times recommended in the cookbook that came with it. My husband told me that he didn't like gas grills when I got him the first one. Now we're getting rid of the charcoal grill. He loves the Weber. Our son got one recently also.

Very easy to start and heats up very quickly. The cooking surface is easy to clean and it moves around easily on it's wheels. It's built very solidly and should last a long time.
