I've waited along time, and done a lot of research before I decided to purchase this grill. This grill is very sturdy and wears the Weber name proudly. The only thing I can knock about this grill is everything else is well built but they skimped on the casters. The packaging was outstanding but when we received it, one caster was broken but Weber replaced it without a problem.

I love this grill. Hot, big, and built to last a lifetime of meals. There are so many nice features I'm getting fat trying to get to all of them. The rotisserie and searing station are the bomb.

[...] It took me until a friend could stop by three days later to take the grill off the base and move to its "permanent" location. The assembly instructions are poor, but the assembly itself is fairly easy for mechanically-inclined people. Once assembled and hooked up to the gas line, the grill works great. The only thing I am still waiting for is a Weber service rep to contact me back about the replacement of one of the control stems; it appears to be out of tolerance, and the knob keeps sliding off it.

This thing - this beast of a bbq grill - produces a lot of heat. Heat that doesn't neccesarily turn the grill into a fireplace. Heat that can be used for searing or indirect cooking. As you wish. You can pretty much do what you want with this grill.

The rotisserie back burner works pretty well as a top heater as well. You can get a crispy surface and tender inside on frozen french fries with this thing. I poured 2 lbs of french fries right out of the freezer into a baking pan. A huge pile. Just needed to turn them around from time to time. Soft & crispy.

I have done some fresh potato grilling too. And I have never acheved results that come even close in the kitchen. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside.

Works great on vegetables too.

Needless to say, steaks and chicken wings and ribs and other moderately sized pieces of meat are easily handled. I haven't tried lamb steaks and other big meats yet. But the potato tests really tells that this grill can do big pieces really well.

The only downer so far is the burner knobs. They are flimsy and with a highly variable degree of centeredness. Did Weber forget to do a proper manufacturing quality due dilligence before they aqquired a pirate company or what!? Certainly not up to the usual Weber standards.

But for cooking & grilling this thing works really great.

Great grill. Mine had a dent (don't know if it came in that way or I did it unpacking) but Weber was great and next day shipped a door, no questions asked. I had the large Jenn Air but this is far better.

My old gas grill was 26 years old; it went through a few rebuilds but was ready for retirement. I looking at the sleek new models for over two years; read countless reviews and settled on the Weber S670 from Rainbow Appliance. The grill arrived in perfect condition and it took less than an hour to unpack and assemble. Please note; follow the instructions when removing the grill from the pallet, it takes three people as shown in the instructions otherwise you could damage the grill sheet metal. I have used the grill several times and it is great. I made the right choice for me and if you are looking for a very good quality grill you can not go wrong with Weber and Rainbow Appliance.

Heats up very quickly. Minimal flare ups and even heat. Plenty of room for grilling for large gatherings. Sear station is nice in that you just turn off the sear burners and the sear zone becomes a regular grill zone for maximum space. Fold away rotisserie motor is a nice feature. Seams to be well built. Rainbow had a great price on this and other Weber grills.

has all the bells and whistles. went with propane since it is more mobile than gas. Use it throught the year.

I have waited a long time to get a Weber Summit so this purchase was a dream come true for me. I spent six months researching brands, reviews, options, prices, etc. on every large grill available before settling on the S670. The one thing that always stood out was the outstanding reviews this grill received and now I now why. It is a five-star purchase all the way.I grill every single day and at least twice per day on weekends so this grill was put to the test right out of the box. It has performed flawlessly. My wife claims she can taste the difference in how evenly the food is cooked. I have tried the sear burner, the rotisserie, everything and all of it performs flawlessly.Here are the basics I think everyone should know:1) This grill is very heavy. It arrives on a pallet completely assembled with the exception of the side counters. You will need help moving it so don't even attempt to do it on your own or you may damage it in the process.2) Once in place, you will need to attach the side counters and put the hideaway rotisserie in place. A few other minor attachments below and you are good to go. Took me less than thirty minutes.3) This grill gets hot really quick. If you turn on all of the burners at once (which I did first to burn off the "new") it will reach 600+ degrees in minutes.4) Get the grill cover from Weber that is made exclusively for this grill. Don't try to skimp out on another brand to save a few bucks. It fits like a glove and is super heavy duty. To buy something this nice and not cover it would be a travesty and you will regret it.5) Lastly, I highly recommend the two grilling cookbooks by Weber chef Jamie Purviance. I had the first book before this grill and bought the second when the new grill arrived. Absolutely the best two grilling cookbooks I have ever read. Will definitely help you enjoy your new purchase.[...]
