I've had this cooktop about 6 months, and am very happy with it. The two worst parts were (1) installation, and (2) cleaning it. There is no plug attached to the power cable, so I had to detach the old plug head from my former cooktop and wire it to this new one. I'm fairly handy, but most people would need an electrician to hook this up, which would be a significant pain. However, I presume most cooktops are shipped like this. As for cleaning, it almost never comes completely clean, even with special, glass-cooktop cleaners. A foggy film or splatter marks or something always remains, even with scraping followed by a cream cleanser, followed by more scraping. Still, it looks better and is a more simple clean-up than a wire element cooktop. It is VERY pretty to look at, and with the electronic controls, completely flat, and thus very elegant. It is every bit as functional as it claims, and while I would have preferred an induction cooktop, this one was a far better deal, and I didn't have to get all new cookware! I would certainly buy this again.
