We had an LG previously and fell in love with the "slide & glide" tray, allowing 9x12 baking pans to be put in the microwave. My wife liked the Maytag over the LG this time around, simply due to appearances.

I have found that with the Maytag, I never use their preset buttons, which was my favorite feature of the LG. Maytag's preset buttons consistently overcook food. With the LG, 90% of my microwave cooking was accomplished with a preset, sensor-cooking option.

The tray in the Maytag cannot handle heavy objects. Anything over 5 lbs. prevents the tray from moving in any direction.

The display can only be seen from straight-on. I'm 6'1" and have to lower myself by 6" to see the display.

The top portion of the microwave, where the vent exhausts, is made of cheap plastic, which does not reasonably match the rest of the stainless-steel finish.

The handle looks & feels cheap, and is made of plastic.
