I bought this for my kitchen to replace my old microwave hood. It does good job to keep smell out of the house. With 6 speed you can easily select power/noise level for your need. The looking is very sleek and modern. It has some drawback and it's why I gave it a 4 star. First, the SS sheet is thin and edge is sharp. You need to be careful not get yourself hurt when handling it. Manual is kind of notuseful. It is obvious outdated because electric box connection was not needed(it's actually good)but it is still in the manual, this made it very confusing. Also Manual said no details of how to secure the hood with enclosed screws and those screws were useless. I bought my own screws to install it.
In summary, this is fine unit with nice power and good looking, Details need to be refined, and most importantly, manual needs to b erewritten.

Sleek, Stylish, Quiet and yet extremely powerful. Best buy for the money. Would highly recommned the Zephyr Typhoon to everyone. Even the bottom of the hood is really stylish to look at.

Had it installed for 2 weeks. Very powerful, Not much smell after the cooking to keep the family room clean. But in upstairs you can still smell lightly. So far so good for its function.

But it's painful to install it. You need at least 2 persons to hold it to put on the screws. The 2 screws on the back are very hard to fasten. very little room for you to do this job. A screw driver with long handle is a must.

I haven't really had a chance to use this product yet, as my installers are having a problem getting duct tape on a duct when it is in the wall of the house! Two men who professionally install appliances took an entire day to work on installing this fan. I've read the reviews, and it sounds like it will be great once we get it running properly, but I feel very frustrated at this point and wish I had chosen a product with the remark "easy to install."

excellent suction power. Made curry last night and did not smell up the whole house.
Very difficult to install. Took my dad and husband, both engineers, an hour to install it.
Very quiet and no rattling at all even with such great power.
Bought it from a recommendation from a friend. Excellent recommendation.

Nice looking and powerful range hood. It is good to have 6 levels of power options, and at lower power level, it is pretty quiet.
There is a little inconsistency between the manual/install guide and the real product. The electric line part is much easier in the product.

One cons: one of the light bulbs went out after one week usage. The light bulb is real hot which should not have been like this.

I bought this product to replace my microwave oven (hood fan style), which I hated. This machine is powerful and relatively quiet. It has 6 speeds. The delay switch-off function is a great feature. The head light gives much convenience. Overall, it is one of the most usefual, enjoyable appliances that I have in my kitchen.
