After much research (internet, friends, family), I decided to purchase the Electrolux Ergo-Rapido. I went with the 12V, as I wanted more suction. I had to order it online, as the stores in Omaha only carried the 9V version. I have owned it for about a month, and couldn't be happier.

Convenience: I use it primarily on the wood floors throughout my first level and on the tile bathroom floors on the second level. I love the cordless design, and have not had a problem with the charge running down on me. It is very lightweight and easy to carry up and down stairs. Between uses, it sits in a handy charger, so it is fully charged for the next use. I love, love, love the detachable "dust buster". You don't have to take anything apart and reassemble like with some other vacs. It just pops off, you use it, and then it pops right back on. Perfect.

Effectiveness: The suction on this vacuum is very good. Keep in mind, I use this for my hard surface floors. It is fine for a quick pickup on carpet, and actually works pretty well on throw rugs, but I use a regular vacuum cleaner for carpeted areas of my home. We are currently installing new windows throughout our home, and I have really put the Electrolux through its paces vacuuming up dust and dirt at the end of each day. So far, so good!

Cleaning: One of my favorite features is the easy to empty and clean dirt cup. I have had Hoover and Shark vacs in the past with filters, and they are a disaster to clean. Dirt went everywhere and a lot of it just stuck to the filter, making it less effective. This cup lets you quickly dismantle it to empty loose dirt. The filter has a "snap" button that snaps the dirt off without you having to even touch it.

The only negative I've found so far is that it doesn't stand up on its own. You have to lean it against something if you stop to answer the phone or move an item. Hardly an issue, but might be a feature to add in future designs.

I would HIGHLY recommend this vacuum!

This is a perfect vacuum for a quick clean up on hardwood floors or tile. It does okay on carpet, but noticed I had to go over the same area a lot to get the dog hair up. Best use is for hardwood or tiles, where it picks up dust and dog hair easily. Nice that it has a built in hand vac too! Very convenient!

This vacuum is truly unbelievable!! I think it works as good or better than our $4oo.oo vacuum. Quick and easy to use and the suction is fantastic. You won't believe it the first time you empty the dirt collector. We are neat nuts and the dirt this thing picks up is incredible. Best purchase I made in a long time.

Great for picking up cat litter and cat hair on both tile and carpet. Beats having to drag out the heavy vacuum for small jobs

Great for quick clean up of 3 bedroom house.Good for cats' hair also.I am going to be hard pressed to drag out big vacuum cleaner,maybe once a month to clean carpets.

I bought this vacuum for myself about 9 months ago, I liked it so much that I have bought one for my daughter and giving it to her for christmas. She currently has a hoover stick vac that does not do carpets. This electrolux brand does very well on my area rugs for a quick spruce up. Be careful to not over use it, remember it is only a stick type vacuum for small clean ups, NOT VACUUMING YOUR WHOLE HOUSE!!

I love this light weight cordless vacuum. It is great for quick clean up when I don't want to get the big vacuum out. It has good suction and is easy to clean.

I did research for a month on a vacuum that would work best on tile and hardwood floors. There alot of [$]units that were cheap looking and had bad reviews. The unit was around [$]and worth every penny. It has great suction and swivels around objects well. It is light weight and does what it says it will do. Very happy. Do not spend a cent on a cheap model, you get what you pay for!!!!

Cordless cleaner that cleans rugs, laminate, hardwood, & tile. I absolutely love this and only wish I had it sooner. I can quickly take care of cat hair and dirt and even chase my daughter as she makes crumbs.
