I've only had the fridge in stainless steel for two weeks, but it is VERY quiet, works like a charm so far, and is a great choice for those who want style, compact size and a bottom freezer. I love the wine rack, and find that this fridge, even though smaller than my previous sub zero, holds all I need for two people. The freezer is smaller than I thought it would be, but I have a separate freezer for bulk storage. I also have a separate dorm size fridge for use at parties and holidays. It is smarter to do that than to power a huge fridge 365/24/7.

This product is used every day. I was renovating my kitchen in 2008 and I was provided with specific dimensions. When I found this refrigerator after numerous searches I was pleased with the specs and with the reviews. I love the look of the refrigerator and I was especially happy that the freezer was at the bottom as that is what I wanted.

This fridge is a great space-saving option for people who don't need a monster fridge. The shallow depth keeps everything right up front so it doesn't get lost in the back and get green and fuzzy. We end up actually eating our food instead of forgetting it's there. The unit is very quiet and the construction is so simple that there's not much to go wrong. The manual is the most user-friendly I've ever read, complete with humorous pictorial descriptions of normal variations in operation and ominous signs of impending breakdown. The sleek exterior is a wonderful plus for such an inexpensive fridge, it's all real stainless steel and looks very expensive, with one exception: the slightly obnoxious "Summit" logo in big black letters at the top. Luckily, the fridge is so tall the logo sits above eye level. The only real issue I have with the fridge is its lack of freezer space, so we have an old spare unit in the basement for storing frozen dinners, beverages, and party platters. If you're a single or a couple, the freezer space is probably good enough, but it's insufficient for a family -- you'll at least need a chest freezer for backup. All in all, a wonderful purchase for us and a real bargain if you're looking for counter-depth.
